Heyyyy guys. So, please remember to keep the switching around to an absolute minimum (and ANY switches need to be approved by a manager.) Everyone has 4 or 5 days this week and each of those shifts is completely needed (check out those high LYs)...which means that there are very few opportunities for people to take a shift--it will have to be a switch (since no one can work more than 5 days in a week.)
Let me know if there's any issues and we'll work them out as best we can.

Just a reminder: December is our busiest time of year...that means try to keep your switching shifts to a minimum (it MUST be approved, you can't just tell us it's happening) and no weekend requests unless you've already cleared them with Ashley. Happy Thanksgiving Everyoneeee! Thank you so much for all of your hard work over the last few weeks helping us prep for this week. All your hard work has most definitely been paying off and we appreciate you all very much. Here is the schedule for next week, it is officially Holiday season! Starting next weekend we will have extended hours Friday-Sunday. Next weekend it is just Saturday and Sunday, we will be open 9am-9pm Saturday and 10am-7pm on Sunday. Hey Guys, I apologize for the last minute posting of the schedule. There will be ABSOLUTELY NO switching shifts for next week! Next week kicks off our Holiday Season and it is extremely important that everyone is here and here for their scheduled shifts. THIS Sunday I will be having a new hire orientation, if you are scheduled 9-12 it is mandatory that you are here.
For Black Friday we will be doing a Holiday costume party! Don't forget to dress up as your favorite Holiday person, food, place, or thing. We will also be picking for our Secret Santa. We will be having a Holiday get together either Friday December 11th or the 18th, please let us know which would work best as we would love everyone there. Location is TBA, don't worry we won't go bowling again. We're thinking Bar Taco or some sort of restaurant/bar place where everyone can come.
Lastly please don't forget to sign up for the Black Friday potluck! There's only a few of us on there! We love treats, dips, pizza, anything. We will also need paper goods as well.

Hey Guys- Please e-mail me over all of your availability so I can update my chart accordingly. Also I have made an updated locker list, please make sure you ALL have an assigned locker and are using it. That means ALL cell phones must be locked up, we will be checking at random on the floor and if we see it or you have it, it will be a write up. The selfies and posts while on the clock have got to stop. Also we are starting something new when you come in. Please be sure to check in with the Floor Sup'ing Manager once you get in so that you can be wrapped in on what's going on. Sales goal for the day, yesterday sales, promotions and any news we have going on. Hey Guys, hang tight with us we are almost in the clear. Inventory is next Tuesday and Wednesday! I appreciate everyone's help and hard work with sku checking, pre counting, ect you guys rule. Hey Guys. For those of you who don't know TUESDAY we have a regional visit. Our Regional Manager Todd and Regional Merchandiser Michael will be in the store along with Jesse and Julie. This is a huge and important visit, this is Michael's first trip to the store. MONDAY those who are scheduled 6 to close, plan on being here until AT LEAST midnight, if not longer. I will provide pizza. Those of you scheduled on Sunday to close plan on being here until 8:30 or 9. We have a lot of preping to do in between now and Tuesday, please NO swapping shifts or calling out, I will tell you now it is a no. Hey Guys- 2 things this up coming Saturday and Sunday ( the 18th/19th) is the Westport Arts Fair those of you schedule please be mindful that getting into Westport/finding parking will probably take you a little longer so please plan accordingly. Also! This Sunday the 19th is Nick's going away get together/our Summer get together! 7pm we will be meeting at the field on Ellsworth St in Black Rock. I believe it is the corner of Ellsworth and Beacon however Ellsworth isn't long you'll find it and if you have any issues text Anita! Hey Guys- Due to the dip in business we have to take a big ol' payroll cut. Those of you who have been here just know it is the name of that retail game and I apologize. BUT the more money we make, the more payroll that will be added and the more hours I will be able to add $$$ that should be incentive for all of us to kick some sales butt. This weekend Thursday-Sunday we are running a 30% off sale, it is online as well just an FYI. Also for 4th of July we will be open 10 to 6, I know you closers are happy about that ;)
If you see an O/C next to your shift that means it is an On Call Shift which means depending on business demands we MAY or MAY NOT use your shift. You are required to call 2 hours before your shift begins to check in and see if we will be using it or not. If you do not call than it is considered a no call no show.
LASTLY Sunday July 19th (7pm) we will be having a going away get together/summer hang sesh cook out. Place is TBD, we are thinking somewhere in Black Rock. Activities will include wiffle ball and or kick ball, beer, food, more booze, and probably Byron and Eddie dancing. I will post a sign up sheet in the breakroom feel free to write down your name and if you want to bring some food! If you are under 21 and drinking and get in trouble for some reason, I don't know you, I never saw you in my life. K?

Schedule 6/14-6/20
Hey Guys- Just a few things to go over with you all. PLEASE wait to be switched out of your zone before you wander off somewhere or go racing to the register to clock out. Sometimes you do need to wait, whether it be due to someone being late, helping a customer or we are caught up doing something. Do not go running to the break room or walkie to us asking to leave because then you will only have to wait even longer. Also, a 10 is a 10. It is not a 15 it is not a 20. It is not enough time to go run to Westport Pizza or Starbucks. It is enough time to eat a granola bar and get a cup of water, go to the bathroom, look at your phone that is LOCKED IN YOUR LOCKERS, and that's really about it. Please be mindful of that. Lastly, if we catch you mindlessly roaming or just petting things OR on your phones, you will be asked to clock out. I know that it gets slow and a little 'boring', however, there is ALWAYS something to do. Cleaning, folding, sizing, filling, ect.
Ps Scheduling Note: I've said it a thousand times. A request is a request. It is not a guarantee that you will get that day off especially come the weekends. The weekends are over flowing with requests and I know I will not be able to honor everyone. And I am not accepting requests for 4th of July weekend.

Saturday May 9th is our Ice Cream/Dress event. We will be handing out free ice cream in our back patio area as well as feature a display with our top selling dresses. Those of you who are in school and availability will be freeing up, please let me know when and what your plan is for the Summer. We have a few new people starting this week, Julie and Kelly! Be sure to help them out and give them any advice when you can! Effective Sunday, we have a new Timesaver program it is called Kronos. I have posted a poster in the break room explaining it. You guys by the end of this weekend/next week should have all set up your new user names and passwords with a manager. You should all as well have gotten the information sheet regarding it. This system is very new and very different from what we use now. Your schedule is already ahead of time programmed in, tardiness will be noted and Managers will be having to note the reasons being. Attendance points will now go into effect, those of us not following attendance policies will unfortunately be documented. Switching shifts becomes a bit more difficult as does requesting time off. Please familiarize yourself with it, it will be a change and learning experience for all of us. Attached to the information sheet I have added our store request policy. As some of you may have noticed I have taken down the calendar in the break room, it was getting completely out of control with the requests. There is a 2 weekend per month request maximum going forward. Again 3 requests per day- first and second person will typically be granted 3 person will depend on scheduling needs. Anything after 3 people typically will not be granted. If there is an issue with your schedule then you are responsible for finding the coverage, if coverage is not found you are responsible for being here. Failure to do so results in written documentation or termination. I've said it a million times I do my best to work with you all, cover your call outs, grant your requests but you as well need to work with me. If employment here is not something that you are either interested in or can fit into your personal schedule then we can discuss other options for you. I love this store and all of you however I still need to do my job as Store Manager to run and maintain an upbeat, profitable business. Hey Guys-Just a reminder that next Friday is Good Friday and that weekend is Easter weekend. I am anticipating us being busy that weekend and this upcoming one! More business means more payroll. Also there is a poster in the break room, our district is hosting an Instagram Contest! It would be super awesome to see some of our staff on our UOConnecticut page. The last 2 weeks UOConnecticut has made it into SLANT. You guys are a creative tech savy bunch so lets see some posts! Hey Guys-I've done your schedule for the next 2 weeks seeing as I will be leaving on vacation this Friday and will not be back until the following Monday. Westport has their winter break February 15th-22nd, during this week I have added on call shifts as we do not know what to expect, you guys know school breaks get crazy here with all the kids running around. Please do not confuse the on call shift with the 8 to 12 o/c to 2 shift, that shift you are scheduled 8 to 12 and depending on tasking/traffic/ect you are on call to stay until 2. Please let me know if you have any questions comments or concerns I will still be answering and reading emails while I am gone.

The last few weeks have been very request heavy. I am typically good with honoring all requests and approving all scheduling changes however it is not possible with the size of our current staff. How the request calendar works is the first 2 requests are typically guaranteed, the 3rd always depends on scheduling needs, anything over 3 at this current time I can not accept. Sorry Guys.
